988 Campaign Update

In July 2022, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline was launched nationwide as a resource for those experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Recently, Indiana Family and Social Services Administration took a major step in spreading awareness about this critical resource for Hoosiers in need of support.

On Monday, May 29, FSSA launched a marketing campaign to spread awareness about the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in Indiana. This campaign will not only educate Hoosiers about 988 but encourage those in need of a listening ear to call the lifeline, for themselves or someone in their life.

With the launch of this awareness campaign, you will begin to see branded gas station pump toppers around the state, as well as digital and streaming audio advertisements. This is the first phase of many that FSSA will be implementing to spread awareness about this critical resource. New communication and branded assets are available on the new 988 Indiana website, 988indiana.org, which includes a resource toolkit of awareness-raising marketing materials. This toolkit will be updated as new assets are developed. Please consider downloading and sharing these materials to help spread awareness for this important, life-saving resource and fulfill its purpose of providing non-judgmental support, 24/7, for those in need.
