About us
The Office of Community Engagement at Logansport State Hospital works to connect the hospital with external constituencies and resources. By establishing and maintaining relationships with community organizations, elected officials, other health care providers, and citizens who support our mission and our patients, the Office of Community Engagement seeks to:
- Expand the public’s understanding of who we are and what we do at Logansport State Hospital.
- Illustrate the economic impact the Hospital has on the Logansport-area community.
- Increase awareness of mental disorders and available resources offered by the Family and Social Services Administration and the Division of Mental Health and Addictions.
- Explain to the public the Hospital’s crucial role in Indiana’s judicial system.
- Share the professional accomplishments, achievements, and special recognitions of our staff with the public.
- Develop relationships with organizations and individuals who support our mission and our patients.
- Work with the Rehabilitation and Social Services departments here at the hospital by identifying volunteers and donors in the communities served by LSH to help meet patient needs.
