The staff development department is committed to supporting the continued growth and development of our employees so that safe, quality care is provided to the patients we serve.

Our wide focus of activity encompasses :

• Assessing employee training needs
• Providing orientation programs for new employees
• Proactively implementing appropriate internal training opportunities
• Facilitating ongoing in-service training and continuing education to maintain and improve employee competence
• Supporting patient and family education development
• Developing & supporting staff publications
• Placing/maintaining all hospital audio-visual equipment
