LSH pharmacy mission statement

The Logansport State Hospital Pharmacy provides pharmaceutical services both distributive and clinical to meet the specialized needs of our patients. It is the department of the hospital wherein the procurement, preservation, storage, packaging, controlling, dispensing and distribution of medications to hospitalized patients are performed by legally qualified persons in compliance with federal, state and local laws, hospital policies and procedures and JCAHO standards.

Philosophy

The primary aim of the pharmacy department is to ensure rational, patient-oriented drug therapy supported by measurable outcomes and in-service education programs that aid all health care practitioners in the hospital to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain and improve their performance. The right patients should receive the right dose of the right drug, in the right form and at the right time.
