The Information Management Department at Logansport State Hospital functions in a support role providing information services and information technology to all hospital departments and staff. With a staff of four, the department manages and supports over 800 network-connected devices that comprise the hospital’s local area network. The department monitors over 1,400 services on network-connected devices. In addition, the department provides support and services for approximately 500 staff members who have network computer accounts. The department manages and maintains more than 35 network file servers and maintains and supports over 300 software applications.

Furthermore, the department is responsible for the programming of the hospital’s telephone system and coordinates the installation and repair of all telephone services. The department maintains and configures the voice mail system, video surveillance system, time control devices (time clocks), medication stations, and the alpha paging network.
