Accelerating Apprenticeship Placement: DWD Launches Connectivity Tool on Apprenticeship Indiana Website

INDIANAPOLIS (July 31, 2025) – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD) Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship’s recently launched the Apprenticeship Indiana website now features enhanced connectivity- through the help of an enhanced search form employers can connect to intermediaries in their area ready to help them build registered apprenticeships.

More than a resource site, Apprenticeship Indiana focuses on fostering collaboration between workforce boards, education providers, employers, and potential apprentices across the state. This effort aims to create a stronger, more connected ecosystem – one where best practices are shared, opportunities for innovation are elevated, and collaboration drives the development of a skilled workforce.

This latest connectivity feature provides a user-friendly interface streamlining the registered apprenticeship matching process, making it easier than ever for businesses to build a pipeline of skilled talent.

"We need to do what we can to better prepare the next generation for their professional future and that includes employers. Apprenticeship Indiana’s new connectivity feature further improves how employers offer pathways to good career opportunities,” said Governor Mike Braun. “This streamlines a process that previously required hours of calling and emailing to now just a few seconds via a search function. The less that stands between the employer and building a registered apprenticeship, the better for job-seeking Hoosiers.”

While finding the right connection point employers can also navigate to an ROI calculator or review the steps to launch customized RAPs, registered by the Department of Labor and backed by DWD Work-based Learning and Apprenticeship support.

“In today’s fast-paced economy, Apprenticeship Indiana empowers Hoosiers to gain essential skills while directly connecting them with employers and training partners through its innovative connectivity feature,” said Josh Richardson, DWD Commissioner. “We’re thrilled to expand this centralized hub for apprenticeship opportunities and stakeholder engagement.”

The site also serves as a connection point to the Work-Based Learning and Apprenticeship webpage where toolkits and more information are available for those building out a work-based learning program, Pre-RAP or RAP.
