WIN Career Readiness System

Within the WIN Career Readiness System, employability, foundational, social skills and digital literacy skills are learned within the context of careers. This real-world focus helps define the personalized selection of coursework and credentials that lets employers know that learners have the skills to succeed in the workforce and further their training and education. WIN training is provided at no cost to job seekers, employers and training providers and is online so once you have received your access information email you can utilize all online features of WIN 24 hours a day.

Career Readiness 2.0

Career-infused foundational skills curriculum aligned to national and state career readiness standards and assessments including ACT WorkKeys® and career readiness certifications. The core skills of Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents make up the career readiness 2.0 modules. Each module begins with a placement test. Based on placement test performance, the learner will enter the learning module at a level appropriate for their skills and then progresses through the rest of the module at their own pace.


Supplemtnail Skills Courseware

Supplemental Skills is a self-paced course designed to enhance your career-ready portfolio. The Supplemental Skills are Business Writing, Applied Technology, and Workplace Observation. Each module contains a placement test which will recommend a starting level according to your initial understanding of the topic. There are five to six levels in every module, each with its own pretest, instructional content, practice exercises, and posttest.


Essential Soft Skills Courseware

Essential Soft Skills Courseware helps learners develop and demonstrate attitudinal and behavioral skills that are critical for success in the workplace, school, and everyday life. These competencies are a key component of WIN’s comprehensive approach to preparing learners and job seekers for success and providing future employers with workplace-ready candidates. Modules include:

  • Communicating Effectively
  • Conveying Professionalism
  • Promoting Teamwork and Collaboration
  • Thinking Critically and Solving Problems

Upon successful completion of the modules learners have the opportunity to document their training accomplishment by earning an eBadge, an Essential Soft Skills Certificate or an Essential Soft Skills Credential.


Digital Literacy

Technology plays a significant role in nearly every industry and its use in the workplace continues to increase every year. To succeed in their careers, job seekers and employees must have an understanding of the purpose and capabilities of these rapidly changing digital tools and demonstrate an ability to use technology to get the job done. The Digital Literacy Courseware is a self-paced course designed to provide learners with the skills needed to navigate technology in the workplace. It is comprised of five modules:

  • Computer Operations
  • Internet Browsing
  • Digital Communication
  • Digital Documents
  • Digital Security Basics

Upon successful completion of the module’s learners have the opportunity to document their training accomplishment by earning an eBadge, a Digital Literacy Certificate or a Digital Literacy Credential.


Interactive foundational skills review and practice for ACT Compass® and other college readiness assessments.

  • Algebra
  • Geometry
  • Reading
  • Writing/English

Work Ready Courseware

Work Ready Courseware focuses on three foundational workplace skills: math, reading, and data. Each of the three Work Ready modules provides learners with a placement test. Based on placement test performance, an individual enters the learning module at a level appropriate for their skills and then progresses at their own pace. Learners show mastery of content by passing posttests at the end of each level, earning eBadges, and eventually the certificates of completion. Work Ready Basics offers 2 beginning levels of instruction for the math, reading and data skills.


Indiana Career Readiness Resource Center: Located under the Resources tab on your WIN dashboard, Indiana Career Readiness Resource Center is an online library of training and implementation resources for the WIN System including how to videos, quick reference cards, answers to frequently asked questions and much more.  System enhancements, scheduled maintenance and other information is posted regularly, so visit often!

WIN prepares you to be successful with the WorkKeys assessments. Once you complete the WorkKeys assessments, you can earn a National Career Readiness Certificate and prove to employers that you have what it takes to do the job.
