Skill UP Indiana! Rounds 1&2
DWD provided nearly $19 million to support community partnerships in developing training and education programs that align to employer needs. Awarded programs helped to equip Hoosiers with the skills necessary to begin filling the one million jobs projected to be available over the next 10 years.
- Sector-focused training and education programs for in-demand occupations;
- Curriculum based on necessary skills and competencies as identified by local employers;
- Employability skills (soft skills) instruction that can be utilized across all careers;
- Work-and-learn opportunities for youth and adult learners.
Round 1&2 Funding
Nearly $19 million in total grant funding was provided to 25 industry-led community partnerships.
