Submitting Public Comment on a Proposed Rule
Comments on a proposed rule are accepted in writing by any of the following methods:
- emailing DOLlegal@dol.in.gov or
- mailing to, or delivering in person to the Indiana Department of Labor, Office of General Counsel, 402 W. Washington St., Rm. W195, Indianapolis, IN 46204
Public comments are also accepted at the public hearing as required by Ind. Code § 4-22-2-26.
The comment period for a proposed rule will close at midnight on the date of the final public hearing unless specifically noted in the rule docket above.
Copies or Inspection of Comments and Responses
A request to receive copies of comments received by the IDOL, including any comments, if required, from the Small Business Ombudsman pursuant to IC 4-22-2.1-6; the IDOL’s response to the comments; and any other written information pertaining to these rules, should be made using the DOL APRA portal found here.
Such documents may also be inspected at the office of the IDOL at the Indiana Government Center South, 402 W. Washington St., Rm. W195, Indianapolis, IN 46204 during normal business hours. Please call (317) 232-2655 to make an appointment to inspect.
