Digital Learning and Professional Development

The Indiana Department of Education provides support and assistance for educators integrating digital learning in their classrooms. Please direct all digital learning related questions to elearning@doe.in.gov.

Digital Learning Grant

The 2022 Digital Learning Grant is open for applications through March 16, 2022. This grant awards school corporations the opportunity to lead and support work that is focused on the following areas:

  • Building teacher capacity and learning for high-quality blended and online learning instructional practices and strategies, as outlined in the Educator Standards for Blended and Online Learning;
  • Strengthening teacher capacity and learning of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) instructional strategies to support blended and online learning;
  • Implementing strategies to address data presented by the Indiana Department of Education on the academic impact of COVID-19 learning disruptions (IDOE), specifically for the most impacted student populations in current blended-and online learning environments (e.g., Black, Hispanic, special education and English learner); and
  • Purchasing and implementing technology tools directly related to the above priorities.

Grant Dates

  • Grant Opens: February 11, 2022
  • Grant Kickoff Information Meeting: February 16, 2022 at 1 p.m. ET
  • Grant Application Deadline: March 16, 2022 at 5 p.m. ET
  • Grant Award Notification: April 13 – 21, 2022
  • Grant End Date: July 31, 2023

Summer of Learning

The fourteen Summer of Learning conferences will offer educators opportunities to connect with innovative, technology enhanced pedagogy related to accelerated learning, STEM, literacy, digital learning, and more.
