The County Treasurer is responsible for the collection of property taxes and investment of the collected funds. The Treasurer works in cooperation the the Auditor to distribute county funds in accordance with local ordinances and state statutes.

2025 pay 2026 Property Tax Information

The Spring Installment due date for property tax is May 11, 2026.

The Fall Installment due date for property tax is November 10, 2026.

It is the policy of the Union County Treasurer's Office to accept tax payments of any amount at anytime. However, making partial payments does not relieve the taxpayer of late penalties, fees, or the property being subject to tax sale.

A reminder, we cannot and do not accept postdated checks. Payments made after the due date will be assessed a penalty.

Property taxes may be paid using any of the following methods

The Treasurer's Office will be closed Jan 1, Jan 19, April 3, May 5, May 12, May 13, May 25, July3, July 4, September 7, October 12, November 3,11,12 and 13th, November 26, 27, December 24, 25, and 26th 2026.

Spring payments must be postmarked by May 11, 2026 to avoid late fees.

Fall payments must be postmarked by November 10, 2026 to avoid late fees.

Service fees are as follows:

  • Credit card payments made via Web or allpaid.com  2.95%  $3.99 minimum fee. This is a convenience fee charged by the service provider.
  • Telephone Assisted payments (Call Center/Live Agent)  incur a 2.95% convenience fee ($3.99 minimum) and an additional $3.50 charge for Agent assistance.  This is a convenience fee charged by the service provider.
