The Grant County Health Department issues permits and does onsite inspections for septic systems. Repairs, replacements, and new construction all require a permit.
The health department maintains a current list of certified installers who are registered within the county. A list is viewable at the bottom of this webpage.
Homeowners should be aware that in order to do septic system work in Grant County, an installer MUST be on our list.
Installers must pass a certifying exam, provide proof of liability insurance and bonding, and pay a county license fee before they can do septic system work of any kind.
