Story of Jasonville
Jasonville was founded in 1858 and named after one of its founders Jason Rogers. Historically, Jasonville has been a mining and farming community and like many similar communities has seen car dealerships, movie theaters, etc. come and go.
The City of Jasonville is nestled around Shakamak State Park, Redbird Off-Road State Recreation Area and Hillenbrand Fish & Wildlife Area. With the recently completed and future enhancements planned for the City Park, City Reservoir and Hanna Field there are numerous outdoor activities to be enjoyed year-round.
Jasonville is making great strides with affordable and improved housing as well as a facelift for a big portion of the downtown area. Jasonville has had multiple new businesses open this year and construction is under way for more. Jasonville is on the move. Come see us soon!
