As one drives down Main Street in Jasonville, you can tell that Christmas and the holiday season is in full swing. From the Christmas Parade, tree lighting ceremony and Santa Train earlier this month to the Children’s Christmas Program earlier this week, Jasonville certainly celebrates Christmas!
While scurrying about from place to place, making sure we have all the presents bought, gifts wrapped, tree and decorations out for all to see, and groceries bought for whatever feast we will be sharing, let’s not forget those that don’t experience these events we so often take for granted. If I could wish for one thing this year, it would be that each of us give something to someone outside your inner circle. Maybe it’s time spent just visiting with that person you know doesn’t get much company or maybe it’s sweeping off their sidewalk or baking them a plate of cookies but whatever it is, do it simply because you can.
