History of Jasonville
Jasonville was founded in 1858. It was named for one of its founders, Jason Rogers. Jasonville is just minutes away from Shakamak State Park, Redbird State Recreation Area and Hillenbrand Fish and Wildlife Area.

CITY OF JASONVILLE GETS A BIG WIN!
Troy Fougerousse, Dawn Kasemeier, John Kincaid, Mayor Eric Siepman, Steve Strahla, and Bob West.The City of Jasonville is very excited to announce that we have been awarded $750,000 by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, with support from the Southern Indiana Development Commission and HWC Engineering for a stormwater project. This project will directly affect much of the city and is slated to begin in early 2027.
