Expiration Date and Late Fee Extensions

Through Executive Order, Governor Holcomb waived Administrative Penalty Fees (late fees) through June 30, 2020. This waiver has ended.

Hoosiers holding a driver’s license, permit, state identification card, or vehicle registration card that has expired need to take immediate action to complete a renewal by visiting a branch, using online services through myBMV, visiting a BMV Connect kiosk, or mailing in a renewal. If you renewed after the June 30 deadline and believe you are entitled to a Refund of Administrative Penalty Fees, please use the ‘Request a Refund of Admin Penalty’ eform to submit a request.
