Circumstances: On July 7, 1989, the body of William Montgomery, a 53-year-old taxi cab driver from Louisville, Kentucky was found shot to death along the side of the road in rural southern Washington County. The victim's yellow taxi was abandoned about one mile from the homicide scene.
Indiana State Police detectives also believe that a black, late 1980's model Chevrolet Monte Carlo that was stolen near the murder scene could have been involved in this crime. The stolen vehicle was recovered in the Youngstown Shopping Center parking lot in Jeffersonville, IN.
The Indiana State Police strongly believe that the general public could assist and also have additional information that can lead to an arrest in this case.
