"We'll go anywhere to bring back more jobs for Hoosiers. We believe in redoubling our efforts in hard times, to gain ground on other states while they're raising taxes and making themselves less attractive to business."

-Governor Mitch Daniels

Governor Mitch Daniels led a delegation of Hoosier business leaders and elected officials on a jobs and investment mission to Asia September 5-16, 2009. The trip included the first economic development mission to China by an Indiana governor in more than a decade. The governor also made economic development stops in Japan--his fourth visit to the country since 2005. The cost of the state delegation was covered entirely through private donations to the Indiana Economic Development Foundation and utilized no tax dollars.
