Minimum Plan Requirements

Permit Application Assistance Manual

In addition to the permit application form, the submittal must also contain specific details and plans regarding the proposed construction activity. Below is a list of the minimum requirements; however, further information may be requested after the application is received.

  • A site map that clearly identifies the location of the proposed project site in relation to the surrounding waterways and roads. There are many online resources available that can provide an aerial view for use as a site map.
  • An aerial plan view that identifies the disturbed area for the proposed project.
  • A cross section plan view that includes dimensions of the proposed project.
    • Note: Plans should identify all construction components, including material types and dimensions. In addition, all permanent and temporary aspects of the project should be identified.
  • Photos of the project site with an orientation map.
  • Public Notice
    • Do not complete Public Notice as part of your initial permit application submittal. Public Notice must be provided to adjacent landowners after your application is submitted to the Division of Water. For more information refer to our public notice webpage.
