Our Board Members

The Veale Township board members were elected during the November 2022 general election and assumed office on January 1, 2023. The board members have a four year term which runs from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2026.

Clint Young, who originates from Mississippi, has been a Daviess County resident since 2005. Clint, wife Stephanie, and their family have made their home in Veale Township for the past seventeen years.

Clint was appointed to the Veale Township Board during January 2022 to complete the 4th year of Judy Robinson’s term. In November 2022, Clint was elected to the Veale Township Board and is currently serving his first term from 2023 - 2026.

Clint Young is a physical therapist at the Core Center in Washington. Clint graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Mississippi State University. He continued his education in physical therapy with the University of St Augustine obtaining his master’s and doctorate degrees.

Clint and wife, Stephanie, have three children, Riley, Piper, and Easton.

Clint enjoys watching his kids play sports, running with his dog, swimming, and boating with his family.

Clint and his family attend Bethany Christian Church in Washington.

Clint feels honored to be serving the residents of Veale Township.

Rosie and husband, Bob, plus their three dogs live in beautiful Veale Township, Daviess County, Indiana. Except for college and military duty, Bob and Rosie have lived in Daviess County all of their life.

Rosie McGuire was elected to the Veale Township Board during November 2022 and took office on January 1, 2023. Her term runs from 2023 – 2026. This is Rosie’s first term on the Veale Township Board.

Rosie and Bob retired in 2012 after working and being part owners in the family business, Don Gress Const., Inc. Rosie was Secretary for Don Gress Const., Inc. for 35 years. Also, for a few years they were part owners of Country Oaks Golf Club.

Bob and Rosie have been married since 1970 and are the proud parents of Rebecca McGuire Ellis and Rachel McGuire and grandchildren Alayna Ellis and Graham Ellis.

Rosie has many interests which include quilting with the Christ United Methodist quilting group and playing bells with the Jubilee Bell Choir of the church. She belongs to the Monday Afternoon Club and April Debs Home Economic Club. Currently, Rosie is serving as Secretary for the Washington Arts and Flowers Garden Club and is on the board of directors of R.S.V.P. of Daviess and Martin County.

She has volunteered for many years in 4-H, mainly in her interests of dogs and horses. In the past, Bob and Rosie were honored by the Daviess County 4-H for serving the organization.

Rosie has a passion for local history and genealogy, and has been on the Daviess County Historical Society for more than twenty-five years as Treasurer. She was honored to receive the Joseph Hamiton Daviess Award.

Rosie enjoys owning and caring for her horses.

Her desire is to serve the community and believes your possibilities are as endless as your dreams and is happy to be serving on the Veale Township Board.

Sue Killion is a life-long resident of Daviess County and has lived at her current Veale Township residence since 1963.

Sue Killion was first elected to the Veale Township Board during November 2018. She officially took office on January 1, 2019. In November 2022, Sue was re-elected to the Veale Township Board and is currently serving her second term from 2023 - 2026. Local politics is not an unfamiliar role for Sue, since she served the citizens of Veale Township as Veale Township Trustee for 24 years from 1994 through 2018.

Prior to Sue’s role in local government, she had a career which included 20 years as an Administrative Assistant with Avco Financial Services in Washington and 2 years with the Daviess County License Branch. Sue retired from Avco Financial Services in March 1990. Following her early retirement with Avco, Sue worked part-time at the Washington Township Trustee Office as a bookkeeper for 20 years from 1990 to 2010.

Sue and her husband, Harold (deceased), raised three grown sons, Bill, Jim, and Tom. Sue has a granddaughter, Alisha and a grandson, Stephen; as well as two great-grand-children, Bear and Elle.

At the time of her husband’s death, Sue and Harold had been married for more than 61 years.

In the past, Sue enjoyed traveling to Branson and attending many of their shows. During the summer months, Sue enjoys her rose garden.

Sue was a member of Aikman Creek Baptist Church for more than 50 years. Since its closing, Sue now attends Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
