Responsibilities of Renters
All individuals and organizations reserving the community center must:

  • Return the facility to the condition in which it was found.
  • Remove all garbage and personal items after use.
  • Immediately report any damage or safety concerns to the Deputy Trustee.
  • Comply with all township rules and regulations regarding use of the facility.
  • Failure to comply may result in denial of future rental requests and/or additional charges.

Care of Building During Use
All individuals and organizations reserving the community center must:

  • Key should be immediately put back in key-box after unlocking or locking front door.
  • To keep the floor as clean as possible, only clean gym shoes should be worn on playing surface. People should walk on the sidelines when crossing from one side of the gym to the other, not across the playing surface.
  • The gym floor should be swept before practice begins and once practice is over.
  • The gym, bleachers, and bathrooms are the only areas open to the public. No one is allowed on the balcony, in the locker rooms, or on the stage.
  • Nothing should be left or stored in the building. Anything left in the building will be put in the dumpster.
  • The last person to leave should walk the entire interior to make sure all lights are turned off.
  • The thermostats should not be adjusted.

Alcohol Policy

No alcohol may be served or consumed on the premises unless:

  • The event organizer obtains event insurance covering alcohol service.
  • A valid certificate of insurance is presented to the Deputy Trustee at the time of scheduling.
  • Events involving alcohol without approved insurance will not be permitted.

Scheduling
Scheduling is handled exclusively by the Deputy Trustee through the township’s online system: fallcreektownship.simplybook.me.

  • Reservations are granted on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to township approval.
  • The Township Trustee retains the right to deny any reservation that conflicts with township policy or presents a safety/liability risk.

Public Comment and Oversight
Members of the public wishing to provide input on the operation of the community center may attend regular meetings of the Township Board. The Township Board will consider community feedback during its annual review of this policy. This policy shall be reviewed by the Fall Creek Township Board annually and may be amended as needed to reflect community needs, financial considerations, or legal requirements.
