Montezuma is governed by a town council of five members, each council position is elected or appointed at large. You must live within corporate limits and be a registered voter to run for election or to be appointed.
Town Council meetings are open to the public and are on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Community Center. There is an additional project meeting each month, held at dates scheduled during normal meetings.
