Tuareg Craft

Tuareg Craft jewelry made by Aboubacar Allal who is from Niger in West Africa, and a member of the nomadic Tuareg tribe. He is a 6th generation jewelry maker, learning from his father. He began engraving, firing wood, using hammer, and melting silver at 10 years old. Everything is purely made by hand without using any machinery equipment, and has significant meaning behind it according to the Tuareg way of life, including camel caravan trips, dancing, draining water from the well, and milking camels.
