Required Training

Welcome to your career in Indiana State Government! All new employees are required to complete the following trainings:

  1. Ethics
  2. Information Resource Use Agreement
  3. Workplace Harassment Prevention
  4. Cyber Security Onboarding Module - The onboarding module provides new workforce members with a primer on important cybersecurity fundamental principles. The training touches on the digital risks and threats the state workforce will encounter as they execute their responsibilities. The training is mandatory.  A failure to complete the module within 21 days of enrollment results in a loss of network access.

You will automatically be enrolled into the Ethics and IRUA course. Any new hire that attends Orientation in central office (Indianapolis, IN) receives credit for the instructor-led version of the Workplace Harassment Prevention training.

If you have completed e-orientation online, you are enrolled into the computer-based Sexual Harassment Prevention training. All required trainings need to be completed in the first two weeks of employment.

You can review the following quick step guide for instructions on how to locate these courses online.

If you have any questions about required training, the State Personnel Department course catalog, or Onboarding, please contact the Division of Employee Engagement at SPDTRAINING@spd.in.gov.
