About Special Kids

About Special Kids (ASK) is Indiana's Parent to Parent organization that works throughout the state to give support, answer questions, and provide information and resources to families of children with special needs.

Childhood Lead Prevention

Childhood Lead Prevention helps communities pursue the most appropriate approach to the prevention of childhood lead poisoning.

InConnect

InConnect helps you locate all of the resources available through the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). These include SNAP (for food assistance), TANF (for cash assistance), First Steps, and other programs.

Indiana Community Action Association

Community Action Agencies operate an array of programs which include, but are not limited to: Head Start, Energy Assistance Program, Weatherization Program, Individual Development Accounts, Homeownership Counseling, Owner Occupied Rehabilitation, Housing Development, Foster Grandparents, Child Care, and many more programs and services.

Indiana Department of Workforce Development (DWD)

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development provides resources related to employment, job training, and unemployment benefits.

Indiana Donated Dental Services

Donated Dental Services (DDS) volunteers provide comprehensive treatment to eligible patients. Individuals must lack adequate income to pay for dental care and have a permanent disability, be age 65 or older, or qualify as medically fragile.

Indiana Long Term Care Partnership Program

The Indiana Long Term Care Insurance Program (ILTCIP) is an innovative working partnership between the State of Indiana and private long term care insurance companies. Indiana has taken the lead in helping its residents protect their hard-earned life savings from the high cost of long term care by promoting the awareness of long term care.

Indiana WIC (Women Infant Children) Program

Nutritious Foods - The foods provided to the women and children on the Women Infant Children program are milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, juice, dried beans, peas, and peanut butter. Breastfeeding women receive tuna and carrots in addition to the basic food package. Infants are provided iron-fortified formula, infant cereal, and juice.

MOMS Helpline

The MOMS Helpline is committed to improving pregnant women's access to early and regular prenatal care and connecting them with a network of prenatal and child health care services within their local communities, state agencies and other organizations around Indiana.

RX For Indiana (Partnership for Prescription Assistance)

Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA) programs bring together America's pharmaceutical companies, doctors, or their health care providers, patient advocacy organization and community groups to help qualifying patents who lack prescription coverage get the medications they need through public or private programs. Rx for Indiana is a PPA program that connects qualifying, low-income Hoosiers with discount prescription medicines, direct from the pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Social Security Administration (SSA)

Through the Social Security Administration, you can request a replacement SSA card, apply for disability, retirement, or Medicare benefits, or apply for Supplemental Security Income (SSI).

State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP)

The State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is a free and impartial counseling program provided by the Administration on Community Living the Indiana Department of Insurance for Medicare beneficiaries in Indiana. SHIP are part of a federal network of State Health Insurance Assistance Programs located in every state. SHIP provides health insurance counseling for people with Medicare. All services are free.
