Part-time Nursing Position

The Vermillion County Health Department has an opening for a Part-Time Nursing  position, the applicant must have an active nursing license or a certified medical assistant certificate.  The position will be a minimum of 16 hours per week with the possibility for additional hours some evening and weekends may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Will work directly under the Vermillion County Public Health Nurse.

Performs duties related to care of patients using established protocols according to applicable laws/standard ensuring compliance with all applicable County and State Health Department           policies and procedures, HIPPA regulations, and all other federal and state laws relating to privacy, confidentiality, and service delivery.

Administer vaccination to children and adults, some CLIA waived in office testing, communicate with patients regarding treatment, follow up and referrals.

Office duties include:  answering phone calls, scheduling appointments for patients as needed, entering records into the computer, performs other duties as needed and assigned.
