The Kosciusko County Health Department's Communicable Disease Program has maintained the obligations and responsibilities assigned to the Local Health Department under Indiana Administrative 410, Rule 2.3-Disease Reporting and Control. These responsibilities include case ascertainment, case management, and case investigation of reportable diseases, conditions, and events.

The Communicable Disease Program participates in public education through participation in Health Fairs, speaking engagements, and educational programs. Students are accepted for introductions to public health and communicable disease reporting and investigation including physicians in residency.
