Childhood Blood Lead Level Testing

In partnership with the Indiana State Department of Health, the Huntington County Department of Health offers Free Childhood Blood Lead Level Testing (under the age of 7 years old) to the public. The test consists of a finger stick and a pipette draw.

If your child lives in or spends more than 6 hours a week in a house or structure that was built before 1978 you need to get their Blood Lead Level tested as soon as possible. Do not delay this test. It may help you to prevent neurological damage, brain damage, and anti-social or violent behavior in your child and help them to live a happier, more productive life.
