Indiana Electronic Vital Records Registration System (EVERS)
Dear Valued Stakeholder:
I am writing to provide you with an important update to the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) plan for upgrading and enhancing our birth and death electronic registration system.
As you are aware, ISDH has been working to implement a new system with the goal of improving functionality and efficiency. We greatly appreciate the considerable feedback from many of our partners who will be impacted by this system.
After serious efforts and consideration, we have determined it is in the best interests of the state to terminate our agreement with the selected vendor and partner with a new vendor to implement a system that meets the needs of our stakeholders. During this time of change, as before, ISDH will continue to use the Genesis system without interruption.
I want to thank all of you for your patience and valuable insight during this process. This decision has not been made lightly, but ISDH believes it is necessary to ensure that the new birth and death registration system will best serve you – our stakeholders – and the other citizens of Indiana who rely on us to provide a reliable, secure registration system for their vital events.
