Paid fantasy sports was established by Senate Enrolled Act 339-2016 and is contained within Indiana Code § 4-33-24.

In order to make a determination regarding licensure requirements, the Commission requests that interested vendors submit an Inquiry Form.  Click here to go to the Gaming Entity Inquiry Form.

Once Commission staff determines whether a license is required, Commission staff will contact the vendor with further information. An application will not be processed by the Commission unless the Commission has determined that the entity requires the license.

Applicants for a Paid Fantasy Sports Game Operator License must pay a non-refundable application fee $50,000 that must be submitted with the license application. The Division may increase the initial fee up to $75,000 to pay for all of the direct and indirect costs of the operation of the division.

A permanent license will be granted only if the Applicant is determined to be suitable to hold a license after the investigation is complete.

A Paid Fantasy Sports Game Operator License is valid for one year and must be renewed annually upon payment of a $5,000 annual renewal fee.

The cost of investigation or reinvestigation under IC 4-33-24-17 is billed at $65.00 per hour.
