The Self-Determination Team provides individual advocacy and legal services to allow individuals with disabilities to benefit from decision-making supports that are less restrictive than guardianships. If you or a person subject to guardianship would like to pursue alternatives to guardianship, please reach out to our Intake Team.

Please understand that IDR gets many requests for assistance and we are not able to provide services to everyone who needs them. If we are unable to provide you with services, we will do our best to connect you with other resources that may help.
