Request A Pre-Application Meeting / Discuss Application

Please note that there are six sections within the branch which specialize in specific industries. To be directed to the appropriate section chief, permit applicants should have the following information ready prior to the call:

  • Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for your source operations
  • Location of the source and any existing air permit number
  • Brief description of the project or activity
  • Any specific questions
  • Your contact information

Air Permit Applications

When submitting an air permit application, send one (1) signed hard copy of the original application packet by courier mail or hand delivery directly to the Office of Air Quality Air Permits Branch at the following mailing address:

Interim Permit Applications

Before submitting an interim permit application, applicants are strongly encouraged to contact IDEM for a pre-application meeting or conference call. Applicants can save valuable time by discussing their interim permit application prior to its submission. For prompt assistance:

Air Permit Revocations

Send written objections concerning air permit revocations to the attention of the Compliance Enforcement Branch, Air Permit Revocations, at the Air Permits Branch mailing address. Please specify the source and include your contact information (telephone number or email address).
