The Indiana Department of Health participates in the Public Health Digital Library program managed by the National Public Health Coordination Office.

The Public Health Digital Library enables the Department staff to stay current on information, research, and accreditation efforts to benefit public health in Indiana.

How to access the new PHDL website.

You can access the Public Health Digital Library at https://nphco.tdnetdiscover.com/. You will be prompted to enter a login or create a login/password so that you can use the PHDL offsite.

Access articles from the Ruth Lilly Medical Library via ILLiad account when not available through the Public Health Digital Library
IDOH staff can now access articles from the Ruth Lilly Medical Library using an ILLiad account. ILLiad may be used to:

  • Request journal articles or print books
  • Monitor the status of a request
  • Review, resubmit or cancel requests
  • Update profile

First: Complete application to open your ILLiad account (no cost)

  • Under Affiliation, please click on Health Profession
  • Under Company/Organization, please enter Indiana State Dept of Health

Next: When your account is established, you’ll receive email containing your username and password. Use that username/password to access a link provided in the email to search the library and submit requests. Be aware that OTC or IOT does not manage this username/password so we cannot reset if needed. Your communication using ILLiad is directly with the Ruth Lilly Medical Library
