Considering the agency’s scope of responsibilities, statewide facilities, public health and behavioral health expertise, range of partnerships with academic and other organizations, and commitment of executive leadership, IDOH is well-suited to host students looking for practice or research experiences to meet their academic (internship or practicum) requirements.

IDOH Available Internship Opportunities

Due to the varied nature of the program areas hosting interns and the internship opportunities themselves, there is no set due dates for each application. IDOH closes applications upon the request of the hiring manager. Please submit your applications as soon as possible to be considered.
