Food Microbiology Lab: Dairy Milk Products Analyses

There is no cost for this testing.

Dairy samples submitted for routine IMS/NON-IMS FDA approved Microbiological, Pasturization and Drugs analysis will only be accepted from the Indiana State Board of Animal Health Dairy Division and other government agencies.

Finished products are collected in their original containers. Examples: homogenized, 2%, and skim milk; cheese; cottage cheese; ice cream; yogurt; butter; and produce. Sterile plastic bottles which are sealed by the manufacturer with a plastic lock are used for raw milk samples. BOAH defines the volume of the bottle. Consult with the Dairy Division of the IBOAH for further instruction on FDA approved sample collection procedures.

Compliance with all FDA 2400 Series requirements for sample collection and submission and the documentation of both must occur for the samples to be accepted for analyses Consult with IBOAH Dairy Division for further instruction.
