SNAP Benefits
Households that receive SNAP benefits and lost food due to storm damage or power outages may be eligible for replacement benefits.
Affected individuals must submit an affidavit for replacement benefits. The affidavit must be submitted within 10 days of the event and the loss (due to power outage, flood, etc.) must be verified. The document may be uploaded to the FSSA Benefits Portal, faxed to 888-436-9199 or dropped off at any Division of Family Resources’ office.
***Hoosiers in Lake and Porter counties have until Aug. 31 to report their loss of food and request replacement SNAP benefits. The extension is allowed for this area because of a waiver submitted by FSSA and approved by the U.S. Food and Nutrition Administration.
