ID Badges at the Government Center

In order to maintain a safe working environment, the Indiana Department of Administration would like to remind staff that ID badges must be displayed at all times on the Indiana Government Center campus. Badges must be displayed at or above the waist in such a manner that the photo is clearly visible from the front at all times. No mementos or other items may be attached to the badge or cardholder that would obscure the information on the badge. These guidelines also apply to consultants, contractors, and service providers. FSSA staff at field offices and state psychiatric hospitals should follow the guidelines in their respected locations.

If an individual is found without a badge or escort in FSSA space, employees should politely ask the individual: who they are here to see, if they need assistance, and insist on either taking them to the appropriate individual or to the area’s receptionist (if present)/primary entranceway where they can wait for someone to assist them further. If the individual without a badge is a known employee, simply ask them to present their badge. If they don’t have one with them, everyone forgets their badge on occasion, please refer them to the Physical Plant Operations Manager for a temporary badge.

Additional information about state-issued ID badges may be found on IDOA Web page by clicking here.
