2020 HIP Waiver Extension
On Jan. 31, 2020, the state of Indiana submitted its final HIP and SUD/SMI Waiver Extension to the US Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This waiver extension requests to continue the Healthy Indiana Plan for 10 years beginning January 1, 2021, and to continue the substance use disorder and serious mental illness components for five years.
