The annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards (GWSA) honor companies that use strong safety practices to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses. The awards recognize employers who make safety and health a clear priority.

The GWSA program is competitive. Companies wishing to be considered must submit an application that answers all required questions. Applications are reviewed by members of the American Society of Safety Professionals and the Indiana Department of Labor’s INSafe consultation division.

Award recipients are recognized at the annual Indiana Safety and Health Conference & Expo.

The Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards are presented through a partnership between INSafe, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Indiana Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals.
