Role Overview:

Full-Time Deputy Clerk
Harrison County Clerk's Office is looking for a full-time deputy clerk.

Salary Statement:

This is a full-time position. Salary $18.06/hr

Requirements for Success:

DUTIES:

Clerical work involving protective orders, juvenile paternity, juvenile CHINS, mortgage foreclosures, and U.S. passports.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Ability to provide public access to or maintain confidentiality of Department information and records according to state requirements.

Shall comply with all employer and Department policies and work rules, including, but not limited to, attendance, safety, drug-free workplace, and personal conduct. Ability to properly operate standard office equipment, including a computer, calculator, printer, and telephone.

DIFFICULTY OF WORK:

Incumbent applies a broad scope of knowledge of both practical and theoretical principles to complex situational demands to accomplish goals and objectives. Incumbent exercises considerable independence of judgment in planning, administering, and evaluating programs, involving decisions that may result in litigation and payment of damages by the County and additional construction costs to developers.

PERSONAL WORK RELATIONSHIPS:

Incumbent maintains frequent contact with co-workers, other County departments, County Council and Commissioners, attorneys, elected officials, public agencies, State and Federal agencies, and the public for purposes of exchanging information.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Incumbent performs duties in a standard office environment.

Work Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
