House Enrolled Act 1002-2023 tasked the Commission with developing a Comprehensive Career Coaching and Navigation Framework to provide comprehensive and relevant information about career pathways.
The Commission has worked with the Indiana Department of Education and other stakeholders to develop a draft Comprehensive Career Coaching and Navigation Framework which centers on career exploration, engagement, and experience. A draft version of the framework can be accessed here. Milestones for all grade levels have been included and various activities will be added in the coming months.
To assist with the implementation of the Comprehensive Career Coaching and Navigation Framework, the Commission is awarding $25 million in Career Coaching Grants. School corporations, public schools (including charter schools), state accredited nonpublic schools, approved career coaching providers, and approved intermediaries are eligible to apply. The Career Coaching Grant deadline is Friday, March 1 at 5 PM ET.
