Driver Instructor Education Changes and Behind the Wheel Driver Education Form Requirement

(LSA 18-320) Eliminates requirement that prospective driving instructors complete sixty semester credit hours at a postsecondary educational institution, specifies instructor training requirements, and requires issuance of a certified driver education form to all persons applying for enrollment in a behind the wheel driver education training course.

Removal of Motorcycle Instructor Restriction

(LSA #18-5) Eliminates a restriction prohibiting a person who has been an instructor or owner of a school offering motorcycle instruction for a fee from administering an operational skills test to an applicant who was a student of such school.
