INDOT > Doing Business with INDOT > Other Business > CAD Support > Current Versions Current Versions

Currently, INDOT has standardized on the Bentley MicroStation (SelectSeries 2) and ProjectWise (SelectSeries 3) platform. In addition to these core applications, we’ve recently changed to InRoads as the agency civil design suite. Beyond the V8i SS2 application releases, we have no further upgrade plans for the foreseeable future, however any resources we make available should function within newer versions of the same SelectSeries release.. The following table will give you an idea where we are today with the workspace relevant apps:

Application V8i Version Description
MicroStation SS2 08.11.07.492 The world’s leading information modeling environment explicitly for the architecture, engineering, construction, and operation of all infrastructure types including utility systems, roads and rail, bridges, buildings, communications networks, water and wastewater networks, process plants, mining, and more. MicroStation can be used either as a software application or as a technology platform. INDOT’s chosen CAD package since the 1990’s.
InRoads SS2 08.11.07.428 Design tool for roads, sites, survey and storm & sanitary systems. InRoads Suite gives engineers the flexibility to work the way they want with the power they need to complete their infrastructure projects. Running atop MicroStation, InRoads Suite provides complete drafting capabilities, powerful mapping tools, and design automation. INDOT’s Civil design software of choice.
ProjectWise Server SS3 08.11.09.109 ProjectWise is a suite of software aimed at helping to manage, find, and share active project data, including CAD and geospatial content, as well as Office documents. It is being utilized by INDOT as the project lifecycle tool and is the location of all active project data.
ProjectWise SS4 Client 08.11.11.579 ProjectWise is a suite of software aimed at helping to manage, find, and share active project data, including CAD and geospatial content, as well as Office documents. It is being utilized by INDOT as the project lifecycle tool and is the location of all active project data.
InterPlot Organizer SS4 08.11.11.34 INDOT’s chosen network plotting software. It is ideal for users that need to batch or schedule production of paper deliverables and/or electronic and intelligent work packages from CAD files and Microsoft Office documents.
Descartes SS2 08.11.07.427 An information modeling product and an extension of MicroStation, for visualization, vector-to-raster, raster-to-vector conversion, and the management and processing of fundamental data types used in infrastructure projects, such as scalable digital terrain models (DTMs) and point clouds.
LEAP Bridge Enterprise 10.00.00.219 INDOT’s chosen Bridge Analysis software - LEAP Bridge Enterprise is a powerful modeling and  analysis solution for small to medium-sized concrete bridges of all types: precast, cast-in-place, reinforced, and post-tensioned.
LEAP Consys 01.03.02.00 CONSYS is a comprehensive continuous beam analysis program for the analysis of static loads, moving loads, and the generation of influence lines.
gINT 08.30.03.77 With gINT software, engineers and geoprofessionals can gather, manage, present, and report on subsurface data more efficiently and with greater accuracy.
SignCAD 2012 V8.84 SignCAD's Sign creation software. SignCAD allows you to design traffic signs accurately, in minutes.
Auto Track V9.00a Savoy CAD dynamics simulator that shows how a vehicle traverses a path.
Mathcad V14 Mathcad is the Industry Standard Software for Engineering Calculations.
CSiBridge V15.2.0 Modeling, analysis and design of bridge structures have been integrated into CSiBridge to create the ultimate in computerized engineering tools.  Using CSiBridge, engineers can easily define complex bridge geometries, boundary conditions and load cases.
