Auditor

Effective September 1, 2023 the Martin County Auditor's office is requiring all parcel numbers to be on all deeds.  The fee has changed to $10 per parcel number in a deed or other document. The sales disclosure fee remains unchanged at $20. Please see the referenced ordinances below.

The Auditor is the principal financial officer for county government as defined under IC 36-2-9-2. The Auditor serves as a secretary to the Board of Commissioners, and to the County Council and must prepare and file an annual financial report with the State Board of Accounts.

What We Do

  • Calculate property tax for all real, personal, mobile home, drainage, and special assessment records
  • Complete annual reports for review by the State Board of Accounts
  • Control distributions of tax collections, special assessments, and special revenue collections for all units of government within Martin County
  • Monitors County financial statements and budgets
