Richland Township is situated in East Central Madison County, roughly bordered by State Road 9, County Road 800 N, County Road 200 N and the Delaware County Line. The population of the Township is 5,043 as of the 2020 Census.
Township Trustee
Douglas Stein was elected Trustee in the 2018 Election, taking office on January 1, 2019. Douglas is a longtime resident of Richland Township, serving for many years on the Richland Township Volunteer Fire Department before the creation of the East Madison Fire Territory and the transition to Paid Firefighter and EMS staffing.
Township trustees must reside in the township they serve and serve a four-year term. They must also take an oath before entering office.
