-Good afternoon, This is my first entry on the Clerk's Corner. I will do my best to keep you informed of what is going on in my world as Clerk-Treasurer of Worthington, tracking local events and other news and points of interest. Just to get us started: The traditional around-the-town yard sale begins this Labor Day weekend, though some yard sales will be up and running this Thursday. Please be careful as you make your way around town as there will be plenty of vehicles of different kinds out and about and people walking and visiting through the weekend.
-With that, the office will be closed this Friday, August 29, 2025, for the yard sales and again on Monday, September 1, 2025, in observance of Labor Day.
-On another subject, we have "No Soliciting" signs available at no cost to you, if you would like to pick one up here at the office. We felt this was a good idea to help eliminate unwanted sales calls at your home. They are small so you can place them on your entry door or next to your doorbell. We inform anyone who requests a peddler's permit not to bother any residence with this sign on the house.
