The Town Council of Converse has an open seat to replace Council Member Mike McKorkle. Resumes and applications for the position must be turned in by Friday, April 23, at 3:00 p.m. at the Clerk's office (210 N Jefferson Street) in a sealed envelope. On Monday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m., there will be a meeting at the Carvers' Club (101 S Jefferson Street) where applicants will be allowed to speak about themselves. The seat appointment will be made afterward.
