Welcome to the Indiana Interior Design Registry. Effective July 1, 2009, Indiana General Assembly passed House Enrolled Act 1573-2009, which established registration criteria for interior designers under the requirements of Indiana Code § 25-20.7.
Under Indiana Code § 25-1-5.5, the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency (IPLA) is required to maintain an electronic registry of all interior designers who apply electronically for registration through this website. Registrants are required to meet the registration requirements provided under Indiana Code § 25-20.7-2, affirm under penalty of perjury that all representations and information provided to the IPLA are true and accurate, and pay the required registration fee provided under Indiana Code § 25-20.7-3.

- New Registration - In order to become a Registered Interior Designer you must hold either an active National Council of Interior Design Qualifications (NCIDQ) certificate or active Indiana Architect license number. A person may not use the title "registered interior designer" or any title designation sign, card, or device indicating that the person is a registered interior designer unless the person is registered with the agency under Indiana Code § 25-1-5.5. The application fee for registration is $100.00. Your registration will remain active for two years from the date of issuance.
- Renewal - Registered Interior Designers are required to renew their registration every 2 years to remain active on the registry. Interior Design Registrations are available to renew starting 60 days prior to expiration. The renewal fee for this registration is $100.00. If you have trouble logging into the website you can contact the Professional Licensing Agency at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
- Online Services - In addition to applying for a new registration or renewing your registration, additional online services are available within your account, including Address Changes and Ordering or Printing a License Card by selecting from the left menu options while you are logged into your online account.
