Valparaiso Municipal Sewer Ordinance

UPDATE (6-3-2020): The pending settlement agreement in this case has received approval.

The City of Valparaiso is seeking IURC approval to provide sewer service outside the city limits in Cause No. 45306. A settlement agreement between Valparaiso and the Town of Chesterton is pending.

The OUCC and additional parties filed testimony in February 2020.

State law gives municipalities the exclusive right to provide sewer service outside their limits. Specific conditions apply including IURC approval.
