South Haven Sewer Works Rate Case

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) issued a final order in Cause No. 43310 on March 26, 2008.

The order approved a settlement agreement between the Indiana Office of Utility Consumer Counselor (OUCC) and South Haven Sewer Works, Inc., increasing the utility's monthly residential base rate for sewage disposal service by $1.94 (increasing the current $64.95 rate to $66.89). The additional revenue will pay for increased operating and maintenance expenses.

A copy of the final IURC order - with the approved agreement attached - is available by clicking here. The 41-page document is in PDF format, will open in a new window, and may take significant time to download depending on the user's Internet connection speed.

The IURC file in this case - including testimony in support of the settlement agreement - is available on the IURC Website by clicking here and entering docket number 43310.

A public field hearing in this case was held on October 10, 2007 in South Haven; the OUCC issued news releases inviting consumer comments on October 3 and September 18.
